The creator of Smooth, In The Clear, and Evolve has put his mind to the power of fire. Nicholas Lawrence brings you Flare.

This remarkable gimmick allows you to shoot fireballs from a seemingly ordinary marker. You receive a ready to go device that will give you the ability to harness the power of fire. Easy to use, and will draw the attention of any crowd. Nicholas has been working on Flare to make it the perfect addition to your close up magic. Designed with both performance and safety in mind, Flare is simply the best fire shooting marker available on the market. The marker is USB rechargeable, completely black so it hides in plain sight. Put the power of fire in your hand with Flare.

A note on crediting. The first person to create and market a flash cannon disguised as a marker was Rick Haslett. Penguin Magic is proud to release Flare with his explicit permission.

Note: Flare is not a toy. This is a marker that shoots actual fire. Please review all the safety information and use with caution.

This is a very interesting tool!
So, my first impression as soon as I opened the package was that the ‘pen’ was made of a cheap material. It actually is! LOL. Is that a problem? Not at all! It’s meant to be like that. It looks like an innocent generic black marker, a very cheap one, exactly because you don’t want to draw anyone’s attention to it before the effect. In case people want to grab and see where the fireballs came from, you also receive a completely normal black marker, just ditch the gimmicked one and give the real one for examination.
Questions fellow magicians might have:
1) it does use a heater coil. Actually a double one. Will it last? I wonder that too and hope so. You are provided with a soft brush, so the chamber or the loading compartment can be cleaned after the blow, like a real gun. Heater coils stuff scares us, but I believe if used as taught, not overloading, cleaning after a use or two, not pushing it too hard and etc, it will last a long long time.
2) does it have to be black flash paper? Not at all! I’ve tested with different white ones from different sources/countries and it worked like a charm. Black is recommended if you want an extra disguise, not important in my honest opinion, because people can’t see it inside the chamber.
3) yes it goes pretty far! It’s exciting!!😂 I got really impressed about the distance. It was the best part!
4) is it better than other existing models? Well, I believe it’s pretty much the same idea. I have the Pyro Pen from Adam Wilber and also love it. Without going into too much detail, it’s made from a Sharpie marker and is a replica of a real one. But this is not produced anymore (I believe for legal reasons) and is hard to find. Due to that fact, Flare is an excellent option!
5) it does look like a James Bond item! The way you turn the pen on reminded of Boris exploding himself in 007 Golden Eye (spoiler alert!). But don’t get me wrong, you won’t explode anything, it’s just the way the pen is turned on. To shoot requires another kind of activation.
Hope have helped!

This gimmick is perfect for what I'm doing. I have coupled it with a few other effects and it is right on point. Let me give you an example. I have something I perform called skynet where I have the spectator throw in imaginary card into a bag. Since this device shoots flame out about 3' is perfect the attention is on my hand up in the air ready to catch the card and that is where the flame ends a being. All of the attention nails on the hand in the air and not on the hand that is down by my side activating the device. It is made well I love the construction the fact that it is black and that designed like a Sharpie works as well. I have many Sharpie style devices and by this being totally different I can conceal it a lot easier and it does not draw attention as to other devices that are made into a Sharpie. I've used it several times and I've always had great success with it and I am thoroughly satisfied with this product. Keep up the good work and I will continue to be a customer courier

Great little device. Use it with the full size load and it is pretty stunning. Use it with half load and it is still stunning but you can control it for close-up. So far, I’ve had no misfires and it is easy to clean out after every fire. Even if you cant figure out how to include it in a trick it can just be an effect of its own.

I guess I didn't pick up on the fact that the paper would not be coming with the unit. I'm sure that is for safety purposes.
It might be good to prominently mention that in introducing the unit during your introductio video.

What is the link to ordering the paper?

Thank you
