Video demonstration on website is misleading. There is a part in there that is false and leads you to believe that this trick is something it's not.

Missing from description of this trick is that it does involve a move which can be detected by any amateur magician. The whole pocket concept means you have to perform trick standing up. I figured that when I saw the video trick being performed but purchased trick anyways because I didn't know about the move that is involved. Not happy with this trick.

I have purchased a lot of outstanding effects from Penguin Magic and on the rare occasion that I am not pleased I usually don't bother to leave a review but this time I feel compelled. And the reason is this. When I saw the explanation I felt deceived. The ad said, "Magician Fooler" and "A method no one has guessed". Well if you watch the video ad that would be true because it leaves out the full performance. If he showed the full performance, EVERY magician would have figured it out. Plus, there is nothing new here. He made it sound like this was a new twist to an old effect. I am extremely disappointed with this one..I am sorry to say that I felt cheated.

Wow, what a find. Has this ever happened to you - you watch a video demonstrating an amazing card effect, you buy in and then realize that the slight involved in more complex than you expected, the video cut out integral parts that if you had seen them you would not have made the purchase, you could not repeat it immediately for the same spectators … With Pocket Daydream what you see is what you get. No cuts, no sophisticated sleights or moves to learn, use your deck or a borrowed one, spectator shuffles, there are no forces and you will be doing this minutes after you learn it - I did. I read some of the comments that people made on the first review and you are not totally wrong, this is based on an an old effect from Tarbell with a few modifications. I think Harry did a fine job and don’t forget the primary reason you buy these effects is to fool and entertain your spectators not necessarily other Magicians. Would it be a better buy at half the price - sure, $10 is a little much for this but I look at this as an investment.

This was not thought through. The trick is flawed, and could have been better with a little more thought. At the end, having to ask what position their card was in is a major flaw. Anytime a magician asks a question that makes no sense, it WILL around suspicion. If he already took out two of the three cards that are not their card, why does he need to ask what position their card was in?

I've been performing magic for 50 years plus & for the life of me could not figure out how he did this. It's simplicity at its finest. I can't recommend this enough. Borrowed and shuffled deck by spectator. No memory work, no marked cards, no crimps, no special stuff, nothing.

Two second setup the first time, then no setup and instantly repeatable with different cards. So easy, a 4th grader can do it. In fact, my grandson did it after being taught just one time in 5 minutes.
