A strong focus on card magic for Halloween!!! This is the perfect issue for those currently dabbling card magic, as almost the entire issue is on the subject. I give it 5-stars because that’s my focus, but wizards looking for other “arts” may not agree with such a high rating. The included-trick is a great addition to any gaff collection - simple and powerful, and includes great tips on clean-up (removing the gaff, post-reveal). What I like most about this October issue, is that many (not all) of the other tricks presented require little-to-none, in terms of additional specialty props/gaffs. Regular household items, if anything, are all you need to accomplish many of the presented effects. The variety of effects is wide, even though they all revolve around cards. In the end, it was perfect for me - I came for cards; I got more than expected. BRAVO PMM
