"Fooled me baaad. One of the best impromptu effects I’ve seen in a long time." - Cameron Francis

Are you looking for an ultra-visual ring and rubberband routine? A ring is locked onto a rubber band that is twisted back and forth along the magician’s fingers. With just a shake the ring moves along the band penetrating your fingers. This very magical sequence can be used to open or close any rubber band routine. Presented by Erik Tait, you’ll learn the secret moves that make this gimmickless routine a must add to your rubberband repertoire. This is Dan Hauss’ Rubberneck.

Rubberneck can be performed with completely borrowed objects. In addition to learning the basic secret, you will also learn multiple ways to move the ring up and down the band with smooth melts and even a jumping slingshot type effect. As a bonus Erik Tait teaches a handling he developed with Nick Popa where the Rubberneck effect can be performed with a keychain while the spectator holds it. This is a fusion of ring and rubber band magic your audience will love. This is Rubberneck by Dan Hauss.

My love for rubber band magic started with Dan Harlan now joes my main man these types of tricks when you have to learn the knack of it and practice until it’s natural I love this trick as this can be practiced anywhere anytime the effect is clever and relatively simple and done smoothly looks too good going to have fun perfecting this

The very obvious reason for buying this trick is the fact that it is completely impromptu. Not semi, not sort of - completely. Yes, there is one thing that you might want to have on you rather than borrowing it, but you can get along anyway in my opinion. Erik's teaching is excellent, the tutorial is excellent, and there is plenty of variation if you're having trouble with one of the phases (one of them I personally use).

Not exactly an easy trick to perform all the way through. The first drop not so bad, but getting the ring finger to work is much more difficult than I anticipated. However after I master the second move it will be very worth the time to perfect the moves. The effects are second to none.

Practice makes perfect Report this review

Good little impromptu trick. The method is a little knacky though so you'll need to practice. You can see the trouble Eric has throughout the teaching himself. If you like rubber band magic this would be a good addition to your routine. Make sure to practice, practice and practice.

Loving magical arts for over 25 years,I would like suggesy that Rubberneck has two great qualities to it:

1) Simplicity of method however demanding physical dexterity training of fingers, which is entirely positive for any lover of impromptu magic.

2) As a beginner, this effect allows you to connect your fingers to work for you. For seasoned magicians your imagination mixed with this illusion is endless!

Thank you Dan for your great work!

Although the concept is good, the method was too difficult for me to finish the effect.
