This is not a reprint of our 1984 edition of Revelations, Dai Vernon's legendary annotations for The Expert at the Card Table by S.W. Erdnase.

This new, over-size book was triggered by the discovery of more than 160 long-lost photographs of Dai Vernon's hands that were taken in 1961 specifically to illustrate this manuscript. It is as close as you will ever get to a personal session with the Professor.

A facsimile reproduction of the entire, original typed Revelation manuscript.

The entire text of The Expert at the Card Table with Vernon's annotations inserted at the appropriate places illustrated with the newly discovered photos of Dai Vernon's hands.

Plus more than 100 pages of added material including Vernon's explanation (with photos) of Topping the Deck, Walter Scott's Second Deal and Double Belly Cut, the Ping Pong Shift, The Hop, Allen Kennedy's legendary Center Deal and more.

A well-made, beautiful book that I am currently referring to every day. Book includes photographs of what appear to be Dai Vernon's original manuscript pages of Revelations as well as text of Expert at the Card Table with running commentary. Includes Photographs of Vernon's hands modeling correct form for many sleights along with many of Vernon's drawings. I believe there is also commentary and photographs showing Walter Scott's second deal and Allen Kennedy's center deal.

I was very excited to receive this book. Vernons philosophy and explanations are always beneficial.
The problem with this book is that the print font is very,very small. It is approximately 1/32" in size. It resembles the font of a credit card privacy statement. There are big wide empty margins on the sides of the text which means there was room for a larger font. I am speculating here but is makes sense that most people who are interested in Vernons description's of Erdnase are of older age. This book is difficult to read and should have came with a magnifying glass.

This is one of the treasures I will Cherish for my lifetime.
If you love Expert at the Card Table but don't understand it fully, this will make things extremely clear and very well explained by the Professor, Dai Vernon.

This book is gold. Well designed and printed on quality paper. Vernon's notes and points of focus help the reader to more easily digest the difficult text that is Erdnase. The small bits of theory and stories are also a treat. Not to be confused with the original edition, this book titled "Revelation" includes the extra material such as Walter Scott's second deal, double belly cut, ping pong shift, and much more. Going through even a small portion of this book will greatly improve your card handling.

So much amazing history. Do not skip the intro, very valuable and interesting. Dai is one of the most important figures in our history. This book is about Erdanse and how Dai utilized the information from his book. Dai has said that he learned his basics from this book. How can you not want to know how Dai Vernon started?
