Upon opening the box, I knew where the marks were and was able to easily discern which mark was for
which symbol. If you experience the same thing, don’t let that get you down. There are some ESP
decks that, as I get older, are harder to read and no one wants to have to put on reading glasses to
perform a trick…that telegraphs that something is up. I can read these in low light and from across
the table without any reading glasses at all. And despite the markings being easily seen by the
performer, I am confident that laypeople will not notice anything, regardless of how closely they
examine these cards. By being able to tell what symbol is on which card at a very quick glance, and
from a couple feet away, your spectators shouldn’t even think markings are involved.
I will say
that I can see these easily from about five or six feet away at most. The across the room thing
doesn’t work for me; though I don’t need to used them for anything like that. It may be an angle
thing or lighting thing…so I’ll keep practicing at the distance reading. I should mention that I can
also see these in very low light. I’m sitting in my living room with just the television on and I
can still read these cards by just the light from the TV.
I performed with these the day after
I received them and I couldn’t be happier with these cards.
These are made from plastic.
They handle well and unlike other plastic ESP cards, are made in such a way that the images on them
shouldn’t fade, scratch off or degrade with use. These should last you many years and using them in
a restaurant or somewhere that condensation from a glass or something may be on the table, is not a
problem. They give a satisfying ‘snap’ when turning them over a certain way. Very good quality.
You get five sets of ESP cards, (five cards each set - one of each symbol), a few gaff
cards and a ‘DB’. They come in a plain, matte black box made of card stock. You also get over 2
hours of teaching. Several routines are provided and you can link them together to make an entire
show.
The only thing I’d have liked to have seen with this set is the box be made from
plastic, as well, because the box will wear out long before the cards will!
I have several
decks of ESP cards, all in various sizes, including two made from plastic and one with a marking
system I love…but Eclipse beats them all. All those other decks are going to collect dust. Eclipse
just became my favorite ESP deck and it’s going with me everywhere I go!

And looking at the photos of the cards, already find where are differences at the back of the
cards..but you must have a very good sense of observation.

GREAT SET. GOOD ROUTINES. ONE OF THE BEST ESP SET EVER.
ONE NOTE ON A SIDE: PLEASE ENGLISH
MENTALISTS, PLEASE. YOU ALL DRESS, LOOK AND TALK THE SAME WAY. SAME HAT, SAME TATOOS, SAME SLOW (AND
IN MY OPINION BORING) WAY OF TALKING. IT'S EMBARRASSING. YOU CAN BE COOL AND ROCK IN MANY MORE
CLASSY AND DIFFERENT WAY. DON'T HAVE TO ALL DRESS THE SAME AND SOMETIMES LOOK LIKE A HOMELESS TO BE
COOL. YOU DISRESPECT YOUR AUDIENCE AND LOOK RIDICULOUS AND DON'T HELP CLIENTS TO PAY AS MUCH AS YOU
DESERVE. BUT COME ON GUYS... SHOULD I REALLY TELL YOU THESE THINGS?
BESIDE THAT, THIS IS A
PHENOMENAL SET WITH GREAT TEACHINGS, I'LL DEFINITELY USE IT FROM NOW ON. RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE.

I own or have use... wait, let me count them... 6 other ESP decks. And without doubt, the Eclipse
deck is the easiest to read. First, it is easily visible even at a distance (as man have noted) and
in challenging lighting conditions. Second, you only need to glace at ONE place on the card back to
get the read, unlike some decks that require you to look at 2 or more corners to figure out the
marking. These replace both my Beyond ESP 2 and Tenyo ESP cards as my go to set.
The
instruction videos are well shot, but the routines taught are, for the most part, are rather linear
that amount to little more than looking at the back of a card and telling what its face is (which
is, admittedly, an over simplification, but more or less accurate). The one exception is Lewis Le
Val's take on the classic ESP matching routine to which he adds some nice personal touches.
But if your main interest is having ESP cards that you don't have to struggle to read in weak
lighting or when you are not directly opposite or inches away from your participant, you should
definitely give these a go.
At least one reviewer has remarked that the markings are too
obvious. I personally don't find them obvious. And I have never challenged a non-magician to see
if they can find the markings. Why would I. In any event, the key is in designing your routines.
You shouldn't be using routines which cry out "Marked cards". If your spectators are suspecting the
cards are marked in some way, the fault is not with the cards, but rather with the routine!

I have several sets of marked ESP cards. The marking system in this is the best by a mile. With a
little practice you will easily master these. EASY to see yet won't be detected by even the most
eagle eyed layman. Nice routines provided in the tutorials. Great quality cards that will last.
If you like this sort of magic, you will enjoy these.

These are a great investment. They give you several sets of the ESP cards which is great, not only
for some of the built in routines, but in case you lose some as well. They are also plastic and more
durable than paper cards. The marking is very deceptive and the best I’ve seen, as you can make them
out from much farther away than other ESP cards.
As for the routines taught, I’m not sure I
will use most of them. They’re good but just not for me. I feel a couple have a little too much set
up than needed or make it too obvious the cards are marked. ESP intro and LeVal’s one ahead routine
are really good though, and I use them, and I’ll probably use Alakazam’s Rhine’s Revenge method
and/or the ESP routine from their Unexpected DVD as well.
But overall, fantastic cards. Great
value!

This has now become my go-to ESP cards. All of my old ones are going into the junk drawer.
Brilliant method. Highly recommended.

The cards are great.
Those saying the markings are easy to find for spectators are
definitely not using them correctly.
The penguin marked cards have far more obvious
markings on them as well, but nobody sees them if you do your job right.
If you use them
correctly, nobody would suspect that they're marked cards. If you use them incorrectly, some will
figure it out.
These are the best marked cards I've ever seen for mentalism. I've been
performing since 1989
