I gave this trick 4 stars because it can only be performed in a sitting position...BUT! it is an
awesome method and it is still impressive

Excellent card trick. Great for close-up or table hopping. This may not fool a professional card
magician, but it stops Muggles dead in their tracks. Dan has presented a great trick. Easy to
learn and fun to do.

This trick can be performed by 7 y/o & up. No major sleight of hand needed. One "maneuver" (I am
not going to reveal that secret, Dan & anyone who has purchased this trick knows what it is) that
does need some practice, just based on timing/pacing of your performance and confidence, if you are
a beginner/novice.
Thanks Dan

This is a really fun trick that you can slide into any routine that has an ESP, Psychic, or
Borrow-My-Magic-Powers plot. The instruction is fantastic, the plot is great, the script is
well-written and well-taught (including multiple branching possibilities), and it's on Bicycle
stock.
There are only two sleights required, so it's great for beginners. One sleight is so
easy that someone who can't even shuffle a deck of cards could learn to do it right in front of a
watchful spectator's face and they will almost never catch on. The other sleight is has so many
options that a famous book has been written just for instances of this sleight--but the option
taught in the instructional video is incredibly easy, because it happens out-of-view from the
spectator, with no misdirection needed.
However, you should know that you need to bring
your own stuff to make the whole trick work. First, you must bring your own regulation matching-back
deck. This is fairly easy since the deck you receive uses red Bicycle rider back cards. Second, you
also need to bring your own pair of Post-It notes (or thick cardstock, or anything else you can
write on without bleed-through) plus writing utensil, as the package does not include the
target/arrow paper shown in the trailer.
It's also worth noting that the plot weakens if
you ever repeat the same trick for the same person, even a week apart. You can avoid this by
bringing your own additional gaff cards. Without giving away how the trick works, let's just say
that the Post-It shown in the trailer can be kept and reused; you never need to write other card
predictions down. (Unless, of course, you bring your own gaff cards). The gaff cards you'd need to
customize it are not hard to find. Magicians are likely to have some lying around from another
trick, a gaff deck, the penny arcade, etc. Even if you don't already have one, you can buy a deck
full of them for cheap, or even a single one, right here on Penguin Magic.

It’s a great trick. Gave it 4 stars for two reasons. As others have said it needs to be be performed
with a table. Also the gimmicks you will probably get. In my case the target card is the 2 of
Hearts. It’s just not as cool as the target card being the QH as in the video. Lucky for me though I
made the QH gimmick myself.

As always, love Dan's thought process. SO simple in construct (why didn't I think of this..) and SO
powerful an effect. Best performed sitting, and the only real "move" is a d*** sw**** but it's done
under a table (easy if you are sitting) under the guise of making the choice MORE random/free. If
done standing, just needs a little more misdirection or a turn to the side for the sw****. the rest
is self working. Handle the deck casually as you finish and put it away while still talking. If they
want to see it again, you can pull it out of your pocket and hand it to them.
need to
carry the extra deck with you and a couple of other gaffs (only if you want to perform it multiple
times)

VERY GOOD TRICK IT WILL BE FUN TO PERFORM AND EASY TO DO. I DON'T THINK YOU CAN DO IT WITH STAGE
MAGIC BECAUSE THE ONE EASY MOVE THE AUDIENCE MAY SEE. ITS GOOD FOR A FEW FEW P[EOPLE AT A TABLE OR
WALK AROUND MAGIC

Dan Harlan is all I need to hear, and I am in. I consider Dan a friend, and I enjoy his old-school
way of thinking. This is a nice, easy trick that will fool. I especially like the kicker with the
post-it. This is fun. I have not done anything professional with magic for years. Nowadays I do it
for my grandkids, and they love to see Pop do magic. This is easy enough to do out of the box and
for kids of all ages to follow. I love it and highly recommend it.
good effect, and good price too! I personally like other do as I do effects.
If you like this
effect I recommend checking out Dude as I Do by Liam Montier
This effect is minus one star for
being difficult to do surrounded or behind a table (where it really shines).
It's exactly as shone in video. Very easy can really take the time to build to climax. Without
tipping methods the other side could be so much more.
