This trick is constructed very well and Dan Harlan explains how to perform it perfectly. It is very
easy to learn and doesn't take much practice to be able to perform it well. It is a fun prop and
you can enjoy playing with this one. Good price, great product, and it will last for years.

I found the pastel shades of colour disappointing and hard to see in certain light conditions,
especially the yellow and orange also the number and letter in these sides should have contrasted
with the colour, not plain wood finish.
The box and cube are nicely made and finished and the
effect is easy to perform.

The box is the ideal size for both close-up and cabaret performing. It is aesthetically pleasing to
the eyes and touch and very easy to manipulate. I own several renditions made in wood and this is
definitely one of the nicest; especially for the price. Dan's routine is also well thought out, easy
to perform and very entertaining. Comes highly recommended.

I own several versions of this trick and love it but rarely performed it because the props are
plastic and look cheap. This elevates it to a whole new level. Plus Dan's routine makes the handling
even easier than what I've been doing. All in all a well made prop and routine to surprise your
audience with. Plus the price is right for a prop of this quality.

I just received this and I am happy with it except for one face of the block. The "C" is almost
invisible.I can barely see it at all. Dan admits you might want to take a sharpie and enhance the
numbers, especially if you decide to age the cube to match it being a childhood toy. But I think
it's poor design. (the "3" is also faint).Make the things so it works right out of the box without
any need to adjust i. I do a lot of reworking of props so I will do this, but I don't think I can
do much about the color shape behind the C. I guess you could also just use it as is and when you
take your peek if you can't see anything you know it's the C. But audience members might also have
this problem. I think I will fill in the C with black and maybe the 3 too. And maybe age it all as
well. Just wanted to share this initial reaction. Perhaps in future production runs they could make
the numbers/colors a bit more visible and solve this problem. I look forward to using this clever
routine. Maybe not as versatile and powerful as 4K Color Vision, but a nicer prop for a storytelling
approach.

I have to take one star off due to the fact that two of the six faces of the cube are in really
faint colors and in most normal lighting very difficult to make out. I've already modified those two
faces. This is very nicely built and has the feel of something you'll keep around for a very long
time. It is a bit larger than other versions of this classic. Also, the chatter of wood on wood
makes a one handed move a bit problematic. Dan's video presents moves where that isn't an issue and
he states that he wouldn't do the one handed move anyway. I glued some velcro in the top of the lid
and in addition to looking fine it gets rid of, say, 90% of the chatter and with a little practice I
can do a close to silent manipulation. If it weren't for the two faces with the faint colors this
would be perfect. As it is, it's outstanding. Dan's routine is well covered and easy to follow and
replicate.

One of my first and favorite magic tricks was tel-a-vision by Royal Magic. As I progressed as a
magician, I started getting the fancy, electronic versions of the trick. I never thought I would go
back to a simple box and cube until Dan Harlan's Mental Block. A routine built around the five
senses rather than the classic mind-reading bit is genius. Now, I'm not sure I'll ever use my
electronic version again! The only downside, as many have noted, is the printing on two of the
colors. I used a thin sharpie to make it work. It otherwise would have been perfect!

The is a great effect. The block looks great not like some plastic thing. I think its great. Highly
Recommended.

Dan Harlan has done it again! The man knows his classics, but more than that, he knows what makes an
effect a classic. The prop is charming, fun, and makes for an intriguing display piece in an office,
a home, or in your performance kit. I love that it looks like a child's toy, with shapes, colors,
numbers and letters, it gives it a bit more variety in the possible reveals compared to a standard
color vision routine. In my honest and impartial opinion, the routine he teaches does have 1 or 2
phases too many, but just when it's just starting to linger the addition of that vanish at the end
seriously brings this effect right back up with a bang. Buy it, use it, display it, enjoy it!

Very nice prop. Sure, it's the same thing you got in your first magic kit, but this is several steps
above that.
Nice routine outlined by Dan.
