The magician invites a spectator to insert her finger into a hole that passes through a transparent frame. He then slides a solid blade into the top slot... and lowers the blade. Magically, the blade penetrates completely through the spectator's finger! It looks exactly as if the finger has been sliced through, but when the magician lifts the blade up, the spectator's finger is completely unharmed.

Over the decades, magicians have created many tricks that give the illusion of slicing through an object. But SMART GUILLOTINE incorporates a unique design that enables you to clearly display the blade's penetration. It really looks magical! Of course, this prop is completely safe. In addition to the finger chopper, you will also learn an amusing presentation in which you slice through the president's portrait on a dollar bill.

First of all, I'm stunned at the price for this. I've preformed this 6 times now and always with amazed reactions. It's fun and very easy to do, plus it looks unbelievable. Takayuki Kumazawa has redefined the 'finger chopper' illusion. The spectator can feel the Plexiglas panel and see that it's a solid piece, so the penetration is quite the surprise. The penetration can be done at any speed. I've found the slow penetration of a finger to be almost unnerving. One person almost got too freaked-out on it. It's a great illusion and for the price one of the most reasonable values I've seen in a very long time.

I purchased this from my local magic dealer for $25 Canadian. Its good quality and easy to use. Instructions are Pdf and English version can be downloaded. I've preformed this several times and it always gets good reactions. Most people do not want to stick their finger in the hole. This is actually good since they believe in the devices "capabilities".

Five stars. for this price, you absolutely cannot lose. CANNOT LOSE.

This is a fun little trick that is, admittedly, a big step up from the finger guillotine I had as a kid. My main problem with it is I found the gimmicked part of the device to be quite visible under most lighting conditions. Still worth it for the price. Kids should like it.

I will say it is a bit of a novelty item. let’s say a
great conversation piece for your desktop.
However will worth it. 😎

Tenyo has released yet another version of the ever popular "finger chopper" effect with "SMART GUILLOTINE." Being a fan of solid through solid magic effects, this version is very deceptive and very fair looking to the audience as the blade can be seen passing through whatever is placed through the hole at the bottom of the guillotine. The clear plastic guillotine makes the penetration more incredible as nothing is hidden and all seems to be in plain sight of everyone. Tenyo fans and non-Tenyo fans will love this!
