In the five decades I have been making a living as a magician I have used many appearing canes and wands. Although canes have been overused and exposed, wands still amaze an audience. This wand is well made and works perfectly. The price is extremely reasonable for the quality of the wand. Stainless steel canes and wands are nice but for the price and workmanship you will not find any better appearing wand.

i wanted an appearing wand for an act and needed something that open fast but look stiff and strong, well i found it right here. made out of metal like the good old appearing cane, this wand is about 12 inches long, open fast, lock easilly when close and made out of metal so it will last a lifetime.

I had one of these years ago. This is a great well made wand just like the canes. I prefer this metal wand instead of the plastic type which are not as dependable. Works smoothly and will fit perfectly in my show for vanishing a silk.

I just received this item. I’m familiar with appearing canes of the same design, so I wasn’t concerned when neither the product description or the included instruction were vague or incomplete. This example unlocks maybe every 4-5 attempts. It is very difficult to collapse, and though I’ve been careful, I’ve nearly sliced my hand more than once trying to collapse it. I don’t know if maybe it’s just super stiff from being new or if there’s some sort of tip that I don’t know as far as making it work smoother. I plan to call Penguin and ask about that. Otherwise, at least for now, I will say that this product does appear to be well made and durable, but overall, I’m disappointed in its performance.
