I really like Peter Nardi’s Knock’em Dead, but didn’t really care for how the outs kind of come out of random places. I wanted to be able to show the prediction’s location before the dealing begins. With inspiration from Knock’em Dead by Peter Nardi, 5 Star Miracle Prediction by Osterlind, and Chris Congreave’s Roll release I came up with my solution.

Effect:
A blue backed deck is taken from the box and spread face down between the hands. One single red backed card is shown face down near the bottom of the spread and will be the prediction. The magician squares the deck and starts dealing cards face up onto the table and asks the spectator to say stop at any time (but before you deal to the red prediction). The spectator calls stop and the card they stop on is shown. A few cards that were already dealt face up onto the table are shown to be different. A few cards that would have been dealt if they had kept going are shown to be different from the selection as well. Calling attention back to the red prediction card near the bottom of the deck, the magician spreads to it and flips it over showing that it is an exact match to their selection. The deck is put back together and placed back in the box – you are reset.

You will need a few things to put this together but most magicians will have what is needed. The main thing is you will need five duplicates of four different cards in blue back.
