I have a set of Rodger Lovins' coloring knives, so I'm not the most impartial voice as I absolutely
love the quality of his knives. With that said, Imprint is the PERFECT EDC! The direct and simple
premise of this knife never fails to get me great responses from my audiences. If you've never owned
a RL's knife, this is the perfect way to start your collection.
Every product I have ever purchased from Rodger has been of the highest quality and this one is no
exception. This is practical real world stuff that you’ll make want to make part of your everyday
carry.
As a long time full time performer I don’t know many single cc knife routines that you can hand out
the knife for inspection. Imprint fits the bill and with a ton of audience participation. What a
great everyday carry. Buy this now, buy two you can’t go wrong!
I own several of Rodger’s knives—call me a knife junkie—but this one stands apart from the rest.
It’s not a multi-phase routine; instead, it’s a rock-solid opener with a functional knife that looks
like a cherished heirloom from your grandpa. This piece doesn’t just fool the eyes—it deceives the
sense of touch as well. Every time I’ve performed with it, the reactions have been strong. Will it
replace your color-changing knife set? No. But it delivers a hard-hitting, unforgettable moment that
leaves a lasting impression.
As a bonus, Rodger also teaches a basic cigarette vanish that
adds a slick kicker ending to the routine.
This one’s a worker. Clean, clever, and hits
hard.
I'll start by saying that Imprint is great! Why?
1. It is easy to carry around where ever
you go.
2. It is straightforward and easy for the spectator to follow.
3. The reactions you
get are amazing.
4. The price point is right on.
5. The magic happens in their hands!
I've had mine for a month and multiple times I have had spectators ask if they can keep it. I
mean, after all, it has their thumbprint on it!
I highly recommend this trick.
I’ve been carrying Lovins’ Imprint daily since the day I bought it! Why? For two reasons: first it’s
a simple routine where I simply show both sides of my knife one time (no need for a bunch of
suspicious paddle moves); second, the rest of the routine takes place in the spectator’s hand at
their fingertips. And it has never failed to get a fantastic reaction! When the spectator feels
their fingerprint etched into the handle of the knife, they either gasp, laugh, or freak out — it is
unlike any normal Color Changing Knife routine I’ve ever done. And, I only have to carry one knife.
It is unique, it is fun, and I highly recommend it.
