At the beginning, the magician sets aside a single face-down prediction card. There are two piles of tarot cards: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The spectator is asked to select one card from the Major Arcana.

Then, the spectator opens the prediction card. It instructs them to count the number of letters in the name of their selected Major Arcana card then remove cards from the top of the Minor Arcana pile equal to the number of letters.

The spectator then reveals the top card (Minor Arcana) — and surprisingly, it matches the prediction. But it doesn’t stop there. The message on the prediction not only relates to the selected Major Arcana, but the Minor Arcana card also uncannily aligns with the spectator’s personal experience, as if the tarot itself had whispered their truth.
