Hi there fellow magicians…. So here’s my take on Nicks Big Foot packet trick. Although the routine is somewhat fresh, the premise is simply a re-work of the classic Eight Ball packet effect! Same premise… new story line. The issue I had was the quality of the cards. I LOVE Nicks creativeness on most of his stuff… but the card sleights required are a bit difficult with the his choice of card stock. As a result they don’t “Glide” as smoothly as they should. I’ve been a professional close-up magician for many years and got this for my grand boys to play with. Sadly I wish I still had the original Eight Ball packet effect! Better card stock which makes it easier to perform. Anyway, that’s my two cents worth! T Martin

Nick Trost is well renowned for his clever packet tricks, many of which rely more on sublteties than sleights. This effect is a fine example of his genius. It employs very limited sleight of hand, although you will need to be able to do a certain "Count", which is easily learned. Aside from that, all the handling is fairly straight forward, and the effectiveness of the trick relies on the cards themselves and the presentation. It took me a bit of practice to master all the moves correctly and in the right order (and with cards oriented correctly), but it's well worth the effort. The "Bigfoot" story lends itself to some nice story-telling, which will be very engaging for your audience. The artwork on the cards is very clever (and necessary for the effect to work), and really helps set this effect apart from "regular" card tricks. It is not quite as strong or surprising as Trost's "The Unknown Card", but the final kicker is still a good surprise, and can generate some reactions from spectators. The effect is good, but the cards do not shuffle or fan easily When trying to do the overhand shuffle or spreading tem out in a fan they don't seem to want to slide easily.

The cards feel like they want to stick together.
