Penguin's price on this is about $4.50 less than everywhere else, so all things considered it's a good price for rope that you don't need to look especially good if viewed close-up or handled by a spectator, as an expendable consumbable prop for doing things like Cut & Restored Rope or any other rope effect where you're using a lot of rope . The hank of rope I received had many rough patches on it, with bits of the cotton woven fabric pulled out. The rough areas were not on the entire hank of rope. From a distance the roughness is not too noticeable , so it's "ok" (not great, not horrible) quality rope. This is fairly thin rope, about 1/4" thick. (for stage work I actually prefer a thicker rope for visibility)
