Very nice effect. Well taught. I have been purchasing most of Rick's stuff as its that good. I am
looking forward to trying this out as a Segway/prelude into scared. It got 4 stars instead of 5
because it requires a 15 second setup that you cant do in front of the spectators without giving
away the method. Rick, if you have a way of doing the setup in an inconspicuous way, please teach
us!

Definitely well worth the $$$. All of the necessary items are very simple and cheap to construct and
this piece is 100% workable. I can't see myself ever performing the haunted deck or rising card
without using this as a prelude again! Great thinking on this, Rick!

This trick is good and if done in the right situation even better.
I was a bit let down
that the trick involved something quite 'gimmciky'
However there is an impromptu version which
still involves a gimmick but not as much as the main version.
Other than that the
trick has been well thought out, and
its worth every penny for the 16min video.
The last i
wanted to say is that i probably wont use this as often as i'd like to. I don't want to give the
trick away but the sleeves do play a role in the trick for the main version. And here in Australia
wearing a long sleeved jacket is unbearable in the summer.
Maybe when Ricks new effect to do
with Ice would be more suiting. :)

This trick deserves a thumbs up! This is one to buy. It's cheap and has amazing reactions. If you're
interested in off the table levitation or even a simple haunted trick, this is the in to buy. The
price is low, and is worth the $$.

Since I never wear a jacket while performing, I'll probably never use this trick.
Had I known
that was necessary I wouldn't have bought it.

I have to admit, I don't always perform Rick's tricks. I do enjoy seeing his methodology and
thinking behind them though.
Rick is a smart guy with a lot to offer and teaches some very
interesting effects. This is one of them.
It has a GREAT presentational hook and the method
is pretty cool.
Is it for every situation? No. Is it interesting and be fun to play with?
Yes.
If you like Rick's thinking and you like what you see in the video. Take a peek, it's
at a VERY modest price and worth a little look.
Enjoy.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I really like the method, but I feel that I will NEVER carry around the
gimmick, and this is for various reasons. I have decided to create my OWN version of this effect,
that has a MUCH smaller gimmick.

Rick Lax, take my money! Any time I see an email from Penguin Magic with Rick Lax's name on it, I
know I'm about to be 1) blown away, 2) about to spend my money and 3) be glad I did! Rick has a
real world approach to teaching and performing. There are no M-TV, rock-star wannabe edits and
attitude, just straight forward teaching and practical work. Haunted Prelude is just such an
effect. Like most of his effects, it can be learned in minutes and perfected in just a few more, so
all you have to do is concentrate on blowing the minds of your audience! Get this effect, you're
gonna love it.

I love this trick it is so startling and bizarre. I love how it makes it look like the table has
extended but has become invisible! love your tricks. You inspire me to create my own tricks!

Ummmmm...it's good but probably something I would never use it's just not my cup of tea like I said
its good just not my kind of thing you can tell a lot of thought went into this it's very easy and
fairly practical I can't go into detail as to why I won't be performing this without revealing it
sorry. You do have to make a gimmick if you want to do the version Rick does in the video but it
only takes like 2 minutes to make you might have to go out and buy a few things but it shouldn't
cost you more than 5 bucks to make it this effect is definetly something I will be thinking about
because the method is interesting give it a shot who knows you might like it.
