These absolutely get my HIGHEST recommendation. Not only are the tricks and sleights you learn great, but so in the presentations. Bill is a funny guy, with a great performing style as you will see. It's true too like in the interview with Dan Harlan above you will invite friends over just so that they can see a terrific close up set. Not a thing wrong with this series in the slightest.

Bill Malone is one of my favorite performers to watch. His technical ability is great but more importantly he's incredibly engaging and knows how to make close-up magic engaging and fun for an audience. The First in his On the Loose series is great. You learn as much from watching his performances as from the technical explanations / tutorials of the effects. Definitely a good buy and worth having.

Bill teaches you through all of the routines and the necessary sleights. I bought the dvd mainly to learn about the false shuffling techniques and I was not disappointed, though I have to say Bill is not the most clear teacher out there... In particular, his explanation of the Zarrow Shuffle is pretty mediocre (sorry Bill... you still rock...). But there is enough there to learn and develop all the sleights on your own.

Absolutely worth having in the library.

I think this is worth buying just for the performances. Bill is such a funny guy and every time I watch it, it is so funny that I cry

Bill is one of my all time favorite magicians. He could make watching paint dry entertaining! He also gives some tips on performing and perception. Great magician and a truly funny guy.

Bill Malone is one of the funniest and best card magicians on the planet. I had to have this DVD to learn Sam the Bell Hop but learned so much more from the rest of the material in the DVD. You will really like the presentations however the material is second to none. He is a serious move monkey and some of the moves may not come easy to you but stick with it there is great stuff in this and all the on the loose DVD's.

If you want a DVD that really teaches, useful, straight forward and amazing card tricks...this is it. Not to mention that Bill is just planin fun to watch! One of my all time favorite DVDs to watch!
