Now don't get me wrong, I really do love this trick. It is a fantastic mentalist effect that will almost never be figured out. The only problems are the fact that you can only do this trick once for a crowd, it is inspectable only when the right card is chosen, and a grabby spectator is likely to figure it out. But like I said, this is a fantastic trick and %99 of the time will not be figured out.

Nice trick, elementary, with a basical magic principle under it, but nice. Nothing of excellent, but a great price/quality rapport. It costs pratically nothing, and worth something!

This is a very well thought trick! I must take 2 stars of because it only comes in English.. If you audience doesn't understand English they probably won't get it.. still a great buy for it's price

When you get this, you may not think it will be very good and that the spectators will figure it out. But, this trick gets some great reactions! Plus, there is absolutely no skill involved! A must have for anyone doing a bit of mentalism.

I got this trick three days ago and everyone I showed it to if they didn't figure it out, it didn't really amaze them. When you get it you'll see what i mean its a waist of time and money. Penguin magic has really amazing tricks but this by all means isn't one of them. Buyers beware! Thanks for being a wise customer!

with tricks like these, it depends on the presentation. so don't expect for people to start screaming if you just do this trick by the numbers. it's inexpensive and fun magic. take your time with it.

This trick is like Mentalism 101, completely fundamental. For $5, you can't go wrong, though the pen is cheap looking. If you are starting out in the arcane art, this trick will teach you a principle that you will use the rest of your life. And it will impress spectators too. When you move on in your studies, you can spend some money on Andy Nyman's Killer Elite--same principle, better looking props.

I like this effect but I think there are better versions of it out there. For beginners, perhaps this is a good choice. It's not too expensive either so I would say it's worth it but again, there are better versions out there.

This was one of my first mental effects as a kid, and i still perform this today. i have made my own using playing card, esp cards, and even on the back of business for an "impromptu" version where i draw the images on the back of my business cards. i do the whole routine as a mind control experiment. with the right patter this trick is great, you just need to make it sound organic for yourself. without the right presentation this trick is just that, with a decent one, this trick can be such a powerful one, as in my subliminal mind control routine i do. as a child this trick taught me how to make great patter. that is why it is on my list of top 10 for beginners and pros. the only reason for the four stars is that you can not perform this trick for the same group twice, unless you can make them forget what really happened the last time. i bought this recently as a gift for my nephew who has been showing interest in magic.

by the way, this is a great ice breaker at bars.
