Interesting mix with the first half using stickers as switching devices. Cool early matrix type effect that can be done with all borrowed items and nothing else needed. Simple Bank Night and if you are in an environment where cigarettes are allowed two effects for them. I think it is more than worth the small fee to watch Dan do what he does, taking what are sometimes dated or boring effects and turning them into great presentation pieces.

So many stickers... Report this review

...that said, there were still a number of solid effects, and everything was taught exceptionally by Dan Harlan.

And related to the sticker effects themselves, I actually liked the first one, a cards across with name tags.

The FU Manchu's Utility Bag totally fooled me. Just great. You need a good routine for it, and Dan's is a good basis for that.

The other valuable entry was the "gaffed envelope" method that was taught for Bank Night. Very clever and off beat, and likely little known.

-The Phantom stickers is a very interesting principle in which many effects can be employed. My head is spinning with ideas here.

there are two cigarette vanishes, one pretty familiar and one that was new to me.

A clean and easy Bank Night routine which I found appealing.

All in all a good watch!

I look forward to this every month! I love watching the build of every trick and learning how they are done. Even if I never do the trick being taught, the things I learn ultimately enhance so many other tricks I do use! I cannot reccomend this product enough!
Great job Dan!!!

Good obscurities Report this review

Tarbell sticker and the envelope method are both worthy of revival. Both can be done in close-up and are very deceptive. The sticker requires prep time.

A proto-Matrix is changed to be more natural and less "for magicians". I didn't care for the bag or cigarette tricks.

I will get a lot of mileage out of the principles taught on this download. I like that the gimmicks are really easy and cheap to make while the effects are wide ranging and very convincing. I won't use all the effects taught here but for the ones I will use this is definately 5 star material.
