The routine Mario has for his torn and restored isn't structured to be a signed card effect (during the restoration the back of the card is facing the audience). But the method is similar to the method that Guy Hollingsworth teaches in Drawing Room Deceptions (Mario has added his own touches that imo improve the restoration). So it could be tweaked to use a signed card in much the same way as the Hollingsworth book. But keep in mind there is no method in this lecture for convincingly pretending to tear up a signed card, so you would need to work that out on your own or find another resources for it.
