If you are looking for effects to perform, then I would recommend one of Gazzo's DVDs or his first
live lecture. He does teach his effects during this live act lecture, but he goes into more depth
and covers more in his other media.
This lecture is great about developing your style,
assembling & threading your routine, and entertaining an audience. Subtleties about prop and
audience management are taught exceptionally well. If you already have some tricks for parlor or
stand-up then you will want this lecture - you will learn how to bring them together.
He
teaches some great bits and gags and how he uses them for subterfuge.
The loading method
for the cups and balls is not new; it is not a new technique that you can apply to what you
currently use as loads. Gazzo does provide ideas for different loads and why you might use them
Gazzo also provides all of the convincers for the egg bag and explains why you don't need to do
all of them. You could perform his routine based on his explanation here, but he does go into more
detail on his DVD. His egg bag routine rocks. The egg bag plays huge and Gazzo uses it to link
several routines together.
His signed card to lemon/orange is great and requires no
gimmicks. The fruit is prepared, but you won't need anything from a magic shop to make it work. He
teaches a great double lift with this effect as well.
