Magic Tricks

When it comes to reviewing any of Dan's Tarbell downloads, I have a hard time not giving 5s. Dan is just such a great teacher, and when the material has not held up well over time, Dan finds a way to spruce it up and make it usable. He also adds many of his own touches, which are icing on the cake.

However, even he could not save this chapter on 4 ace tricks. Even though I'm not a fan of many other magic genres that have been dealt with in the Tarbell download series, I have found much of what was presented intriguing and with kernels of value that can be applied to the kinds of magic I like.

This is not true for this 4 ace chapter. The download is simply boring, and there is little in the way of new or otherwise useful information. This was like a movie that was so poor, even a great performance by the star could not save it. Had it not been for Dan, I would have given this no higher than 2 stars (1 star reserve for something truly unwatchable, totally impractical, or not even workable).
