I would have given this effect a five star review had I not had to spend the time to reach out to
Jeff Copeland in order to buy the props shown in the trailer after purchasing from penguin.
Penguin only sells the small ball set while Jeff sells the complete, the large ball is not
available through penguin meaning I’ll have to make yet another purchase and wait however long the
holiday mail takes.
With that big ball the routines possible are greatly expanded and the
modular way this effect is scripted could bring a whole lot of inspiration to creating personalized
routines. Not sure if this was penguins or Jeff’s call but I feel robbed a bit more than just one
star but the pros make up for that.
This is a great routine and anyone familiar with Ricks
YouTube channel will know that they are in good hands putting their money down.
Small gripe with
Rick though the next time ya wanna plug a product don’t do it in the middle of the explanation to
where I have to rewind three times to follow the flow. Rick does teach some great sleights and
credits the creators well. I like that the DAV option is available but it is hard to read on my
fairly large tv screen making the tutorial smaller and am glad there’s an option to watch without
it. I wish Jeff Rick and the whole CopelandCoins team much success they’ve been great in response
and their effects and tutorials have yet to leave me cold. The magic industry should grow some more
of these teams.
