I have purchased at least 50 effects from Penguin over the past year or so. I am reluctant to write reviews for a number of reasons--but--this time is different. The Dani DaOrtiz fellow apparently is a good card master--but--he is unintelligible--impossible for me to understand the effect or trick. I have sworn him off before--simply because of the language issue--only to be stumped again. Very dissatisfied with the download as well as Penguin saying that there are no sleights involved (Semi-Automatic). I will NEVER buy anything from someone like him again.

Do you know magic isn't actually real? Respect the art. Going on a artists work and shooting a 1 star review simply because you don't understand/ its not your style is absolutely absurd. Magicians put hours into their work for some novice like you to come strolling around and making comments like this. Clearly this isn't for you

Dani Daortiz is literally a master of this craft, your review is the only unintelligible thing I see here

I'm afraid I have to agree with Robert. I have watched the video several times and still have no idea how to do it. Yes, he has shown several methods of doing various parts of the trick but it is so confusing that I can't seem to put 3 parts (I think) together for the trick. I'm sure it would be much better if he could start by showing the trick in slow motion using the easiest of the various methods then later show various other methods. There is no use trying to learn all the various methods if you can't fit them into the trick. I am not denigrating Dani's great ability as a card magician but the instuctional video leaves a LOT to be desired. I too am disappointed with my purchase of this trick.

Hello friends, I appreciate your reviews. As a tip to better understand these projects, I suggested you don't try to understand the trick, but the technique that I do.

Forget about the trick shown, and once you learn the technique (weapon), then try to understand the trick.

The idea of this project is to explain a magic tool, and in each chapter I explain a multitude of operations that have nothing to do with the trick, since only one of the ideas is carried out in the game. That's why it can be confusing. Because I explain many things before, which have nothing to do with the trick.

This is not a tutorial to make a trick and next, explain it.

If you still can't understand it, I have no problem re-recording it. Sometimes, I have so much information assimilated in my head, that I forget to mention it on the recording.

But I insist, if you follow the chapter in the way that I explain, you will learn a lot of handling and in the end... you will even learn a trick to be able to use some of the ideas that are explained with the tool discussed in the chapter.

Regards my friend!
Dani

Dani - I bought this trick based on your video. It is a wonderful trick and I bought it in order to learn the trick - not as you say "a multiple of operations that have nothing to do with the trick". I, for one, would be very happy if it was re-recorded showing step-by-step the simplest method (only one) of doing the trick. To accomplish your goal of teaching various other methods of doing the trick, you could just add those to the end of the video. I bought the trick, now show me how to do it!

I was tempted to also buy your Thought of Card at any Number - Project Chapter 8 when it came out. I thought it was really clever but I feel I would just be throwing my money away without learning how to do the trick. Unfortunately, that is how I feel about my purchase of The Abracadabra Trick.
