Slightly better than his first book, but still bellow average...
We'll leave aside (again)
the visual quality of the book because there are ugly books with awesome material (230 pages written
in a font-size big enough to be read from the International Space Station, and full of useless pages
and images).
It contains 16 effects. Too many of them are the typical 50-50 choice based on
equivoque. A few more (as in the first book) are a Kolossal Killer variation. And (once again) we
have more "multiple outs" effects...
I gave it 1 more star than the first book because I
found a couple of things that were "not that bad". But still, the best use I could give to this book
is just going to the "Inspiration" section of each effect where he lists the sources for the effect
and just read the original material.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that once again, the
effects are described with a minimal/generic presentation. So there are no good premises, no
interesting script hooks, nothing useful at all on the scripting side of it.
Let's see if
his next book (A State of Mind) deserves at least 3 stars
