After several performances with this deck, I have gotten consistently strong reactions. Yes, the
basic idea is nothing new but the way it is done is fairly novel and fooling. So much so that I ask
the person to really check out the deck and there has never been anyone close to suspecting anything
with the deck itself. This has been true across settings. The deck is very versatile and allows for
a lot of creativity. For what it's worth, I have them select a card, re-insert it into the deck. We
then shuffle or cut to lose the card in the deck. I flip the deck over (face down) to "sense" the
card, but, after a pass through, confess I can't sense where it is. I easily cut their card to the
bottom as I place the deck on the table. I ask them to cut once more and then we place the bottom
half on top in a crosscut. I ask them to name their card, then they lift up the top stack and are
staring at their card at the bottom. For them, they found the card with their cut. Very strong
reaction.
