Easy to do but, does not show up well on cell phone cameras. I feel if it was a but cheaper I would
have given a higher score. The magic moment doesn't happen until the end of the trick. Maybe if
there was a joke instead of numbers in it or a card reveal, it would have more entertainment value.
A Jumbo card version would be nice or Tarot card size for better visibility.
I'm not sure it's fair to take off two stars for "not showing up well on cell phone cameras," but it is a fair point. Many intermediate accomplished magicians will pass on effects that seem to have simple methods and miss out on how powerful those simple to do tricks can be some of the most effective in your act! I love taking old magic sets that people "outgrew" and found too simple after a while. My favorites are the suspended vase and spiked coin! Simply by stealing the ball when pulling the rope out has fooled far too many people who thought they knew how it was done. With the spiked coin, I just put a regular 50 cent coin in it and do the trick. You'd be surprised how many are fooled by these simple methods.
I have even fooled full time magicians with my silk vanish using a neon pink pull I made because they didn't believe a pull was worthwhile to use.
Color on a cell phone can usually be adjusted in several ways, so don't give up! Try another camera app instead of the one built in, or maybe a manual white balance, and if nothing else, edit the color with the built in software, or use an editing app after recording.
That's a lot of words to say a little, but please be fair and don't be so quick to ding an effect so much for something that has very little to do with the actual trick and method. Every cell camera is different, so that would be difficult for the creator to control. Have you tried contacting the creator to address this? Most are happy to help, so maybe try other things before knocking an effect so much for something the creator has very little control over. Sorry to be long, but I wanted to fully explain why I don't think you are being fair to the creator in your review.
