I’m writing here because there isn’t a place in the forums for this trick so I’ll be discreet with
the method.
One part of the gimmick is made well enough but mine was not made out of
bicycle cards causing a very visual difference in coloring on the edges of the decks I use(standard
Bicycle Elites). However, I was able to re-make the gimmick from scratch with a few things I had on
hand and now it matches perfectly.
I also had some success with a little roughing stick
on top of the gimmick as well. You’ll see how this helps prevent some possible slippage during the
stab, but it’s not absolutely needed.
Otherwise, the instructions were short and direct,
a plus in my book.
The effect itself is strong, and easy to do. I’m confident this will
wow folks on my two upcoming shows, one live and the other via Zoom.
