The Open Box on this site may be my greatest weakness…I just can’t resist something that is heavily
discounted even if every instinct tells me it’s not something I’d ever perform. But when I saw a
$40.00 trick marked down to $3.37 I gave in. If you’re into tricks for youtube (I’m not) maybe…and
I stress maybe, you’d find some value in this. But if you’re looking for something to perform in
the real world this is pretty much worthless. When you’re talking about a signed card effect as
this is marketed, you’re talking about close up magic. I can’t imagine ever using this and actually
fooling someone in a close up situation. The angles on this thing are a total nightmare. There
were no live performances on the tutorial and once you see it and how it works you’d understand
why…it simply wouldn’t fool anyone!
Another issue is that the handling in itself is kind of
janky. You could argue that if you put the practice in perhaps that would get better, but the
problem with that is I’m not sure how much practice the gimmick could even withstand. With what
limited use I had with this it already seems to be coming apart. The open box got me for $8.37
(including shipping) and my junk drawer has gained a new addition.
