The video by Oz Pearlman on the DVD is great, as other reviewers attest to. The live performances
are useful, the studio instructions are clear, and you even get a download of the video in
MyPenguinMagic so you can watch it from your devices that don't have a DVD player.
The
deck, though, is only alright. Without giving away the trick of the Svengali deck, I'll just say
this: I would expect only 1/32 of an inch, but the copy I received was about 3/8 of an inch. It also
wasn't centered. Together, that means it approached the ink, and is quite noticeable. It means it's
almost foolproof to execute with little dexterity, but it leaves you rushing to get past the moment
for fear of spectators noticing.
