Received Micro Maths the other day and have to say I love Leo's concept on Mental Logs. I have been
doing Mental Logs for several years and have sets from plastic all the way up to Brian Watson's
polished pewter set. But as Leo says, something was missing for a finale. Leo, I believe has hit
the nail on the head. I also purchased his LS Diary to go along with Micro Maths and I do believe
the combination makes the routine complete. However, there is one flaw in the set I received and I
don't know if it is in every set. It is the velvet bag, that I believe is used to store the card
case to keep from getting it scratched. Whomever either invented it or sewed it must need glasses.
The case is 3 5/8" inches long. Where the string is sewn through the bag is 3 1/2" from the bottom
of the bag. Hence you cannot close the bag once you put the card case in the bag. So now the
search for another bag to store this beautiful prop. That is why I deducted one star from my
review. Don't get me wrong, this is a great routine and my hats off to Leo for creating it. Just
wish I would have thought of it first. I will definitely use it and will probably put it in my show
right after the story of my grandson and his great math skills with Mental Logs, or I refer to them
as Math Sticks so people have a difficult time looking them up on the Internet.
