This is everything a magic trick should be. Brilliant method with literally no drawbacks except for
one which I'll get to.
PROS:
Will absolutely fry magicians, kids, adults, smart
people and dumb people. This method is a monster (as you know because David disclosed it which I
think is cool but not smart if you want to create buzz which this trick should have way more of).
It can and should be repeated. Unlike 99.9% of effects that are advertised it can be
repeated but clearly shouldn't be, this should be. There's truly nothing to see or back track. There
is as little heat on the "move" the second and third time you perform this as the first.
This isn't just a cerebral puzzle (although it's that too), it's got an emotional payoff that
they'll remember. The idea of turning up the volume on their own phone to hear the song they're
singing in their head is jaw dropping in a way that "turn over the 17th card and it will be yours"
will never be. The reactions in the video are real.
It truly uses their phone, no magic
apps and is totally hands off. This is the kind of description that usually means the copy is
leaving something out. Not here.
CONS:
The name. For one of the most revolutionary
tricks to come out in years you name it InstruMental??? Horrid David and Nikolas. Just a horrid,
punny, forgettable, mailed-in, garbage name. I could give you a better name thinking about it for 5
seconds. Here it is: "Jerry." What does Jerry mean? I don't know but it's 1000 times better than
InstruMental. I'm calling it Jerry from now on.
