I’ve owned the original Mental Block by Dan Harlan, but I always had trouble telling the colors
apart under certain lighting conditions. Mental Block Dice fixes that perfectly — using dice makes
it much easier to see, and the way dice are made helps because the chosen number naturally faces
down. It’s a smart upgrade.
The props look great. The wooden box and die are solid and feel
professional. The tutorial by Erik Tait is clear and and some clever ideas to make the trick even
stronger. The ending, where the die vanishes and everything can be examined, really hits hard.
Overall, this is a great improvement on an already strong effect. I’m very happy with it.
