The routine does indeed work as described (and it's a unique plot), but after playing around with it
I kept wondering why they didn't take it a step further. The trick is very one note, and the setup
is more involved than the punch line. The best reaction I realistically see coming out of this is a
"huh."
Josh is clearly a clever enough magician to make a substantial routine out of this
"exquisite corpse" plot, and the method could be expanded to characters with even more body
segments. I really do respect the fact that the download comes with several other effects, but
truthfully all of those effects are pretty contrived and clunky.
Also the illustrations
are a little sterile, but I can't fault Penguin for differing in creative tastes there.
