Not really a borrowed deck trick Report this review

This is the first time I am not giving Dani 5 stars. This is a great trick as you can see. And I was pretty sure the deck was prepared in advance because as good as Dani is, even he would need two passes through the deck to prepare it if it really were a borrowed and shuffled deck. So while he does explain how to prepare the deck either during a previous trick or using a more technical approach while you are removing the jokers, the performance he gave required the deck to be prepped in advance (which would take about 15 seconds at most).

Second, I don't know why he abandoned the "What", "How", "Why" approach he had been using in his more recent explanations. For me, I was pretty sure about how this trick worked as I have a lot of his material, so I really just wanted the "How" section because there was one small thing I was not sure about. However, it was worth $10 to learn that one thing as this is a good trick.

So, if you like the trick, it is well worth $10 but unless you are a more skilled performer, assume you will have to prep the deck ahead of time knowing that the preparation is incredibly easy and quick.
