I like this trick. It's essentially a self-worker once you’ve got the initial set-up arranged. Which
is not that big a deal, though it will take effort, especially if you're borrowing a deck. Dani
gives you some smooth suggestions for that setup, including 1. hey, do a trick before this one and
set it up then (simple, straightforward) and 2. a neat cull technique that (for me, anyway) will
take some practice, but that’s fine. That’s the price of admission.
Now, a quick aside,
because honesty matters more than five stars: Depending on the sequence of cards you get, that cull
might not get you the exact final position. I can't spoil the effect, but the order in which the
culled cards ends up matters. But it should get you close enough that a performer with guts can
clean it up without missing a beat.
Overall, the trick is a complex piece of business -
there's just a lot of process to keep straight in your head as you move through the stages. But the
payoff is big, making it worth the practice hours.
Now for the single hiccup that I think
should have been mentioned in the advertisement: you need, and you better be listening, FIVE
separate spectators for this to work its magic. Depending on where and how you perform, that could
be a hurdle, and it's something you should know that before you hit the 'BUY' button.
Still, I can't knock off a star because the routines and the clever little secrets Dani teaches
you are so insightful. They transcend this single effect.
This is a good, clever routine.
It demands practice, sure, but the truly great ones always do.
