I love karate coin, and coins are falling out of fashion. So when I saw this, I thought “cool,
people still carry keys, this is a perfect medium for the plot”. (In fact, because of this Ive built
myself quite a little collection of key magic). At the same time that I saw Karate Key, Keymaster
happened to be on openbox. So I grabbed it at a discount thinking I would have the option of
combining the effects. After all, its the same type of key in both, should be fine.
Now
Keymaster comes with uncut key blanks, and one of the selling points is that you could cut the keys
to be whatever you want, even your actual house key. But its not necessary, leaving them uncut still
works as long as they all match. When the 2 key effects arrived, I opened Karate Key to find the
keys come pre cut. So now if I want to add Karate Key to the Keymaster routine, I will have to get
the Keymaster set cut the same as the Karate Key props. Its not a huge deal, just a minor
inconvenience, but enough to lose 1 star.
