I’ve been performing Gaslight for a few weeks now, and it has quickly become one of the strongest
psychological pieces in my close-up set. What I love most is how clean the entire routine feels from
the spectator’s point of view. Every time I’ve performed it—whether in cafés, on the street, or for
friends—the reactions have been a perfect mix of laughter, shock, and that beautiful “no way… how!?”
moment.
The handling is extremely smooth once you understand the flow, and it doesn’t feel
like work. After a bit of practice, the routine becomes second nature, letting you focus completely
on presentation. What impressed me most is that Gaslight allows you to create a genuine mind-control
vibe without ever feeling procedural. It plays big, feels personal, and hits hard.
I’ve
performed it on both magicians and non-magicians, and it fooled everyone. The structure is clever,
the scripting opportunities are great, and the effect gives you total confidence once you start
getting those reactions.
If you want a modern, powerful, and believable psychological
effect to add to your repertoire, Gaslight is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.
