This booklet pretty much supports what I wrote in a Hilford DVD review; it's his performance skills
that carry him, not the strength of his material. He says this is the routine he performed 200
times a year, for several years; I'll take him at his word. But don't let this suggest to you that
the reason is that this is killer material.
The whole routine pretty much consists of old
gags and effects that everyone is probably already familiar with. The reason this booklet might
useful to you is that it lets you see how a performer can string together some effects to come up
with a coherent routine. It also presents advice on how to attract and build a crowd.
For
this reason, I'd say there is some value in this, depending upon what you're looking for. However,
if you think you'll be learning some interesting new effects, you're probably going to be very
disappointed.
