Magic Tricks

First and foremost, I would like to say that this trick is NOT pointless. It adds a great bit of comedy and spontaneity in your magic. Plus, you get a surprising amount of "disarming" moments from the routine. More so than you might think!

So the DVD was pretty simple, nothing too flashy or out of the oridinary. There were about 8 or so LIVE performances and the studio performance. Greg was also OUTSTANDING throughout and the performances are well worth the price of the disk. Keep in mind, I don't own anything else from Greg and this DVD left me wanting MORE of him in my own home. I could complain though that it's not clear that you can watch them all in one run without having to go to the menu, but you can't watch the entire DVD at once.

The quality of material chosen for this DVD was very good and I was more than happy with the result. It seems from the advertisement like you are just going to get a simple DVD and gimmick that teaches a trick and that's it, but no. You get much more. Along with performances, hilarious one-liners and a pretty assistant,you get a bonus routine by the creator and other great routines and tips by other creators. One of the highlights of the DVD was Greg's "Bar bet" type routine which flows very nicely and has a little bit of each part of the standard routine in it. I look forward to performing this one!

One final bit of business to attend to is the gimmick. Greg searched high and low to find a manufacturer for his gimmick that would provide QUALITY. Key word. Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y. With that in mind, the gimmick is pretty simple but the way it works and is manipulated in the actual routine itself. Plus you can change the routine up and only use the gimmick through half of it if you prefer.

Overall, this deserves a nice 5/5. For a flexible (que up rubber pen gag), almost impromptu routine you cannot go wrong!
