Bad Trick Report this review

I bought this trick on the advice of another magic dealer who hailed it as the best torn and restored newspaper trick there was. I paid 25 dollars for it and it wasn't worth ten. The newspaper that came with it was narrow and tall, and only had 7 sheets of pre-torn squares. It was difficult to handle without looking fake and people asked me why I didn't do any tearing of the paper. When I went to restore it part of the papers fell in the floor or showed somewhat behind the scrawny paper. Sometimes the inside section fell out to the floor and once the paper tore. Also the man in the video kept harping on "look for the headlines", whereas the paper I got there was no headlines. The paper the guy had in the instructional video looked like a full sized one. Not worth the price

I've had the previous item and used it in numerous shows in schools. It always held up. These are props. You can prepare a different newspaper if you want. If you are a purest then perhaps this isn't for you. But it doesn't mean it's a bad product. Maybe gene Andersons tear is for you. It's more of a purest tear. Good luck however on preparing it each time.
