I have the book and it is still not easy. The videos I've seen of him he has a heavy accent and I'm not sure I could follow everything he says. I sympathize with what Robert is saying here. Great amount of time virtually duplicating with what someone else has done or go a less time consuming route and yet make it your own. Magic isn't necessarily supposed to be difficult. Doing things that are difficult and require much concentration will make a person a poor entertainer as they disconnect with the audience. I have seen people's face drop in shock with doing the easiest tricks imaginable.
