As a street magician, I am very hesitant to look at effects that involve gimmicks. I don't like
having to carry them and I prefer to keep my act impromptu. Every now and then an effect comes
along that makes me rethink my position.
STC is a very well thought out effect that packs a
lot of punch. I have gotten some of my best reactions with this effect. The provided gimmick is of
extremely high quality construction. It should last a very long time and perform flawlessly. It
seems to be very durable. A little TLC should ensure that this gimmick will last a lifetime.
The instruction on the DVD is not bad. It presents a couple of different handlings. A little
more attention could have been paid to getting in and out of the effect, but anyone who has done any
card work will have no issues figuring this out for themselves.
Within a couple of
performances I developed my own original handling that allows me to start and end clean. This
effect now has a permanent spot in my routine.
