I haven't seen this method on any other tricks.

Very reliable, very durable, and the diary should last very long time. If you buy this, you won't regret it for sure.

If you want to use this for a preshow, it will work 100%, never fail, and you will know their birthday and and a card always. All you do is let them have a birthday diary, find their birthday on the diary and remember a card below the birthday (Each page has one date and one card). You never see until they look, close, and hand the diary to you. So clean. I have a lot of impression device including electronics but this is the best one to deceptively know your spectator's birth day.

However, there is a problem when you use this in real time performance.There is a 'move' (not exactly move as a sleight but you should do something in a 1 or 2 seconds to know what is your spectator's birth day and their card. You can do it and know the informations in 1~2 seconds but January and December don't work always. Even if you make it works it doesn't look as clean as other dates. So if you want to use it in real time, you need to make your own way.

In my opinion the dvd has lack of information. The length of the dvd is too short. They don't explain about the problem of Jan & Dec. No tips. They just explain how this diary works and some handlings. But the because of the concept of this is so great, I would give 4 stars.
