Powerful as the routine is, this is not a Q&A. In a Q&A, the participants think of questions (typically about the participants' futures) and the mentalist apparently reveals answers to those questions.

The Three Types is a mind reading act in which the performer appears to use great powers of psychological analysis to read minds. It is a great book for those who like patter relating to psychology (like what Derren Brown does) and I may use this book if I ever go in that direction. As of now, this book is not for me. I believe it dilutes the power and appeal of an act to explicitly announce you are not psychic.

Obviously, you don't have to use exactly the same presentation. I'm assuming here that it would be possible to adapt the method to other presentation more psychic in nature if that's your thing
