These four effects are indeed put to a Sherlock Holmes background story (you are at a dinner party
watching him perform these "feats of deduction"), but they will appeal only to the beginner or
someone only casually interested in doing a few quick tricks for a party. The first one, where you
appear to memorize a deck in seconds, is the only one that seems interesting--and it requires
something you might already have but it's not guaranteed, so you may have to purchase something else
to perform it.
The other three effects likewise require props but you can make them or find
them fairly easily. I sincerely doubt this will fool anyone with more than a passing knowledge of
magic tricks, yet if you are looking for something for a spooky night of mystery that requires
little if any practice, you'll find a cheap choice here.
