So I received Sealed and there is a lot of construction to it, so don't think you will be practicing
with it when you get it. And there is one part in the DVD where he is explaining about how to load
the gimmick and it jumps to a dollar bill set up while he is still explaining how to load the card
then jumps back to the card set up.
And you need the old style 808 Bicycle Deck (card
box), which there is none in any of my stores. They all have the 10 of hearts on the back. I don't
think I even have an old school 808 box.
Would be nice if the gimmick was built already
and came with a new deck of cards (with the old bicycle box)
I agree fully. I am vision impaired and this was very difficult to assemble.
I thought the DVD jumping was just on mine... I will ask for it be fixed - and replaced. Otherwise the other thing that goes unmentioned is that while the effect is great, it is not a beginners effect. The trick does the easy work, but the handling is angle sensitive and is of moderate to advanced difficulty. I do recommend it, great effect, but much work is needed - worth it though.
I got sealed and I thought it's was great. It wasn't that difficult to assemble. By having you assemble the gimmick I believe Menny's intention was to give you a complete understanding of the workings of the gimmick. As a result it will allow you to do your own trouble shooting. I do agree that the DVD has a glitch in it, on the part where he's showing how to load the gimmick then suddenly it jumps to him folding a dollar bill while still explaining how to load the gimmick. This has been corrected. I found a video clip in my account that's downloadable showing that one section where he re-explains the glitched portion of the DVD.
They still make and sell the old rider back decks online everywhere, you can even call the bicycle company so dont worry they still make 808 rider back decks. I just bought 40 decks a month ago
