I have bought numerous things from penguin and have been practicing magic for 18 years. This trick is extremely disappointing and not at all what is depicted in the trailer. As a top magic site penguin should not allow this type of false advertising.

I have to disagree, this trailer is an excellent representation of the effect. What was so misleading? "Extremely disappointed"? How?

I also disagree with you becouse when they will show evrething in the trailer the method will be realised in some part , although the trick is just great and the reactions are amazing , it definetli worth the price.

NickP3 this gentleman must not get the premis of the trick. This trick hits every single time even when you miss the prediction. In fact you want to miss so you can have the killer ending. But if you don't miss and get the prediction spot on, then what else do you want? You just read a mind. Nick great job bro, I'm a fan.

It would appear as though Anonymous from Denver isn't getting enough oxygen in the mile high city. The fact that you can read anyone's mind and NEVER be wrong makes this trick simply awesome!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, if it's going to go on a site like Penguin, where magic is sold and the comments are there for people to understand more what the product is and why it is a good or bad purchase - then one NEEDS to justify why they say XYZ.

Anonymous from Denver - If you did not like the trick - fine. Keep it to yourself. HOWEVER, if you are going to post it publicly then do us all the favour and explain WHY you say what you said. Back it up with information but don't waste our time by just giving a vague comment. Noone here has time for that.

That being said - I think this trick is awesome. I bought it and it's going straight into my working set

It's not misleading its metalism and a classic, it's hits 100% of the time and your perfomace decides how powerful that hit is not the method. Those who appreciate it will enjoy

NickP3 you are so far from the truth man you guys need to give Vanishing Inc. As call and have Josh & Andi give you guys a lesson in Trailors 101. You must not have seen Dan Sperry's rant. This trailer is full of cut away shots and shots that start in the final phase of the routine. It also shows you only the hits and none of the outs. And if the outs are the strongest part of the routine, then how come the trailer has to be so deceptive and edit them all out?? What you don't say is that a majority of time the spectator will not get the exact card and you will be using an out which in my opinion is not as strong and relays to people you must not be that good of a magician. It would be nice to see a full performance from start to finish and not sugar coating it in the description. I really honestly thought I was watching a different trick when I started to watch the explanation because they started to show all different footage than what was on the P3 trailer.

I'm not mad about the outs. I like that you end cleaner that way. I'm a little disappointed that like on some of the trailers here on Penguin, you get all these heavily edited videos and end up seeing a complete misrepresentation of what the effect really is. It seems as though the spectator can name any card and it will be in your wallet. When in fact, that's not the case. In most cases that card will not be in your wallet. That's what me and others here are saying.

I honestly cannot understand how people can have any problems with this trick. Maybe they dont understand mentalism. Or even the psychology behind magic and the magician. THis effect is fantastic. I purchase many effects a month apart from those I get in books, and this one is a rare keeper. Its the perfect effect that does not require any sleight of hand. It gets the nerves to calm down when starting with a new audience.

The one off hit is much better vs the perfect hit. It has to do with an effect being too good to be true, or too perfect. And you get to play with your audience's minds and emotions a bit.

PS, my girlfriend has the eye of the tiger. One really needs to know your stuff, even then she can tell whats going on. Maybe because she grew up in a home full of magic. But I floored her with kolossal killer.

I have been doing card trick for many years; this is okay but way below my standard of trick because of the heinous set up involve. for the serious magician, the invisible deck trick is way much better. sorry.

I dont have intention to get inside in this figth of opinions, but I need to say that Im very desapointed. If the trailer had shown the option "off by one" I never would have bought, even worked 100%. I'm sorry.

Having performed this for a decade; in my close up & walk around sets, on TV and on stage (with cam), I can honestly say that the "Out" you guys mention plays WAY stronger than the version of the trick that the trailer shows. I MUCH prefer the "Other" version, the theatrics and structure it allows you to employ turns this from a quick trick, into a MIRACLE.

I WANT the spectator to land on this version every time - It's THAT good!

Your best bet is to take the time to learn and practice the routine and go do it, just 10 times. Do it 10 times with confidence to people and I guarentee that you'll change your opinion.

I've used just about every thought of card to wallet on the market, from versions hidden away in battlered old booklets, to commercially available versions with beautifully produced instructional videos, yet I always go back to Kollosal Killer.

There's a reason it's a classic...

To the people who do not like this trick and think the trailer is misleading. How stupid are you? Not only do you not know how to spell but you do not know how to argue. This trick is amazing and/or comments leave me thinking you are just garbage at magic and performance.

It's amazing the violence some people show in the comments...

Wether the out is good or not (and I do believe it's awesome.) The trailer explicitly states that 'no matter which card is picked, you have it'. It is not the case. Ergo, the trailer is misleading. The other possibility plays insanely well, but it is not advertised. Those are called facts. Now there are some who won't be bothered by it, and some who do. End of discussion. Is it not good to have both types commenting so that potential customers can make up their minds?

Insulting someone who just tries to give his opinion is not usefull in the least. This is a shop, not a dick length contest. Jeez...

Quit whining like a baby. You have nothing better to do then come on here and complain about spelling? Don't be a dick! If you have a problem, call up Tim Cook and tell him the iPhone's autocorrect is malfunctioning.

How can you be disappointed with this? Every time I've performed it, I've got crazy (and I mean CRAZY) reactions. Doesn't matter if the trailer doesn't show all the details if the effect is as strong as this

Disappointed - in the atrocious posts people choose to write at each other here. Is that really how you speak to people in real life too? If not, then why do it online? What is it you get out of that? ...weird...

anyway...

Grateful - that threads like this exist

On The Fence - about whether or not I want to buy NOW that I know the effect is not as shown in the video demo or explained fairly for consumers. Unsure if the actual working is something I want to invest my money and time into - However the testimonials from those who have used the effect keep me interested anyway

Hopeful - that more folk can discuss in a civilized/readable manner so I can make my decision

Cenova, get the effect. Right now it's only $10 and that's a steal. I was on the fence about getting it cuz I already had the original manuscript and the follow up and had been performing it for years. Just did. Phenom!

(ran out of space) Nick does an awesome job of teaching, and this is strong stuff. This is powerful mentalism. And opening with it is killer, no pun intended. People who collect secrets and hobbyists will be bored, but pros use it.

Hey guys . I'm about to buy this kk effect and I just want to tell you why. The reason is because I'm a performer. Not just a magician. A performer. The reviews are like a Rollercoaster. Some of you were expecting "real" magic . I've got news for you - the only real magic is your treatment of the material. You are an artist and should create. Not bragging, but I've worked for 3 magic shops back in the 70s and 80s. The secrets of magic are simple. Don't make them difficult. By the way , I've spent thousands of dollars on garbage over the years. I'm about to spend 10 bucks on something that may be Fantastic... and if it's not , I won't come back to cry.
