I saw a video online that Joe posted a while back playing around with an arrow made from bands. I immediately emailed him wanting to know if he would be teaching this. He replied that it was part of something "in the works". Finally, I received an email that it was out and I bought it immediately. Now I have my arrow and so much more.

This is to rubber band magicians what "Cardistry" is to card magicians. Not necessarily a "trick" but a "really cool thing you can do that most others can't even conceive".

Can you make it a "trick"? Certainly, If you use your creativity. I would use it more as an attention grabber. You already have your bands with you, you are sitting at the bar, or in the park, wherever and you start to twist out these incredible 3D shapes. It will get peoples attention, especially if you are using Joe's awesome line of brightly colored bands. After showing off some shapes, you can easily segue into a rubber band effect like CMH and go from there (to other band stuff, cards, coins whatever).

This video download, like all of Joe's downloadable effects, is well taught from multiple angles and full of useful info (without a lot of excess babble).

Almost 1/3 of my "working set" is done with rubber bands and I am very happy that I can now add this beautifully colorful "eye candy" to my professional repertoire. If you do rubber band effects in your magic, grab this video up (along with some of his awesome colored bands) and get practicing.

To the question above: Joe offers #19 and #16 here on penguin in many different colors (separately or in combo pack). I recently started using his bands and can honestly say they are better that what I was getting before. I suggest #19 bands for most trucks or shape making. Really only thing I would use a #16 for is crazy man handcuffs but I’m certainly not an expert.
