I was really excited to receive this, past experiences with tricks sponsored by Mark Mason have always be positive. Unfortunately, this one does not impress me. As with most tricks demonstrated in front of a video camera, many attributes of a trick can NOT be seen, and if the folks doing the performance do not mention potential problems (which they NEVER do in a sales video) you will not find out about them until you receive the trick, and then it is too late! This is expensive at $45, yet it did NOT include an instructional DVD. You have to once again go on line to learn how to use it. The instructions were about 45 minutes long! And a lot of those instructions explained how to cover and/or correct problems that happen using the pad. Another big portion of the instructional video was telling us just how great and wonderful this trick is!! Those are two topics that should NOT have to be in a teaching video: ideally there should be no problems to prepare for, and you should KNOW the trick is good. Oh well. The pad can NOT be closely examined which makes it difficult to do because you are supposed to give the pad to the spectator. Also, the included special pen has to be used in a pretty specific manner, otherwise figuring out what was written on the pad will be very difficult, if not impossible, to decipher. If that happens then you have to use some of the "outs" that you are taught in the instructions to fudge your way through the "mind reading" act. I WAS fooled by this trick watching the sales video, but now after holding it my hand and using it, I can safely say that had I been able to try this "in person" I never would have bought it.

This is just ignorant. I have been using Imp.Pads for years and not ONCE has anyone ever felt the need to examine anything. I should also mention, the pads I use are usually DIY and not nearly as clean as the Justice Pad. It's all about spectator management, and what you say.
If you haven't scripted your routine properly, it's very likely their attention will be somewhere you don't want them focusing.

Plain and simple, the only real reason for the issues you point out is your lack of effort.

Respectfully, I agree with Race. This is an extremely clean gimmick and well worth $45. If you can't control your audience... that's not the gimmicks fault. You can Download the instructions and save it to your desktop or anywhere else. Who needs a CD? I bought the Justice Pad and the ParaPad. Justice Pad resets instantly. ParaPad, although a great gimmick, takes a little time to reset. Justice Pad? Boom, reset. 10 Thumbs Up on this product.

You could have bought this for less than 20 bucks on penguins 5 for 99. Then if you still were not pleased, give yourself some cheese with your whine. Also check out Psypher Pro if your into impression types, it's the best for the price. Watch for it on open box for a reduced price.
